I did this a few years ago with my sons school picture. We also wrote on the back side of the ornament the year and his age. Grandparents loved them. I copied the picture on to sort of heavy weight paper, you have to roll the picture to get it in the glass ball. Chop sticks come in handy for this process. You can use any kind of glass ball.

This was made for my sweet niece who has been hospitalized since last Friday, and has been diagnosed with Chronis disease, at the young age of 16. She is still not out of the woods and is still in the hospital. She loves anything to do with Disney…and my 16 year old daughter is really close to her, too.
